Sunday Morning 10.30am
Usually for the first 20 minutes all ages are in the service together, for singing, prayer and a children’s talk.
After this children go to crèche (up to 3) or Sunday Club (up to 16).
The adult congregation remains in church for prayer, bible reading and an address (mainly sequential exposition of Bible books,
plus preaching to the Christian Events and other relevant themes).
Music is a mixture of mainly modern songs plus some traditional hymns.
Overall service length is usually no more than 1¼ hours followed by refreshments, to which most people stay.
Morning Communion is normally held on the first Sunday of each month, and all believers are
welcome to take part.
Sunday Evening 6.00pm
The first Sunday of month is usually a Prayer Service with singing, a Bible reading and prayer.
The third Sunday is an extended communion service with time for reflection.
The overall length of the evening service is about 1 hour.
Evening Services are normally held in the Church lounge.
Special
All-age services are held on Mothering Sunday, Easter Sunday, Harvest Sunday, Christmas candlelight
Carol Service, Christmas Day and Baptism days.
Three or four times a year we invite speakers from our supported Mission agencies to take services.
Prayer for healing is always available after each service and privately at other times.
Joint Cluster evening services of all five participating Baptist churches are held in rotation, every four months.
Our Church Anniversary in November usually includes a guest preacher.
At Easter, in conjuction with other Churches, we hold an open air service on Good Friday and a sunrise service on Easter Sunday.
Home Groups
There are 3 Home Groups which meet:
Thursdays at 7.45pm,
The Groups are a mixture of members and non-members. The meetings allow opportunity for
discussion. We pray for one another and the work of the Church.
We also pray for the Mission work supported by the Church.
There is time for people to explain how God is working in their lives which we find a great
source of encouragement.
