Sunday Morning Service 10.30am

For the first 20 minutes of the Service all ages are together to worship, for prayer and a children’s talk. When the children and young adults leave for age dependent activities, those under 4 go to crèche. Those up to school year 6 learn about characters from the Bible and that Jesus is the Son of God. Those from year 7 onwards meet in the “loft” and have Bible based discussions about issues relevant to their lives and situations.

Our Church is mission based. Volunteers from the adult congregation remaining in the service lead prayers for persecuted Christians worldwide, those involved in Mission work supported by the Church and the needs of our own fellowship. We have a wide range of volunteers who read passages from the Bible which are explained and developed by whoever is preaching.

Worship centres around Mission Praise 1 and 2. Overall service length is usually no more than 1¼ hours followed by refreshments, to which the vast majority of people stay.

Morning Communion is normally held on the first Sunday of each month. All believers are welcome to take part.

Sunday Evening Services 6.00pm

Evening Services are normally held in the Church lounge.

The first Sunday of month is a Prayer Service which is open to anyone. We are currently in an interregnum and the prayer service is to support Church members, regular attenders, the Search Committee and the Moderator. It will be vital part of the process of seeking God’s guidance for the appointment of our new Minister.

The third Sunday of the month is a communion service. All believers are welcome to take part.

Special

All-age services are held on Mothering Sunday, Easter Sunday, Harvest Sunday, Christmas candlelight Carol Service, Christmas Day and Baptism days.

Three or four times a year we invite speakers from our supported Mission agencies to take the morning service.

Joint Cluster evening services of all five participating Baptist churches are held in rotation, every four months.

Our Church Anniversary in November usually includes a guest preacher.

Home Groups

There are 3 Home Groups which meet on Thursdays at 7.45pm. The Groups are a mixture of members and non-members. The meetings allow opportunity for discussion and often focus on the previous Sunday's sermon. We pray for one another and the work of the Church. There is time for people to explain how God is working in their lives which we find a great source of encouragement. We also enjoy spending time socialising and getting to know each other.
